#23: HOW TO FIND COURAGE TO GO FOR YOUR DREAMS

Welcome to 23rd episode of Confidence Rockstar Podcast.

After my last podcast episode about living in the UK and in Spain (you can listen to it here) I got a lot of questions from you. You’ve been asking why I’ve moved countries few times and how it was done – when it comes to overcoming fears, starting all over again, not being sure whether it would work out and so on and so forth. How did it look like not from the outside but inside my head, whether I was worried or excited, sure or terrified…

And you know what? I do understand these questions. I understand why people keep asking how to overcome fear, how to quiet doubts inside your head, how to be bold and do what you want to do, how to stop listening to the ones, who tell you can’t do this, it’s impossible, how to feel the fear and do it anyway, as Susan Jeffers says in her book.

So, in this episode I answer these questions, I’m telling you how to find courage to go for your dreams.

I’m sharing with you 7 tools that helped me and still help me to face my fears and make my dreams happen regardless.

Life is short, tomorrow is not guaranteed, take the most of every day, you’re worth it.

Here are some of the highlights of this episode:

  • why do we face fears and how to make fear work for us
  • what is courage and how to find it inside you
  • step #1 – define exactly what you want and why you want it
  • step #2 – understand that the fear will never go away, time to learn to dance with it
  • step #3 – listen to your heart, your brain is stupid. What’s the main purpose of our brain
  • step #4 – be inspired by others, check stories, biografies and experiences of amazing people
  • step #5 – surround yourself with people, who believe in you and will motivate you
  • step #6 – accept that challenges and failures are a part of the game, learn from them
  • step #7 – be open – to endless possibilities and opportunities that wait for you on your journey
  • when you need to make a decision, ask yourself a question: “Will I regret not doing this?”

#20: HOW TO FEEL CONFIDENT EVEN IF YOU’RE NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE YET

Welcome to 20th episode of Confidence Rockstar Podcast.

Let’s face it, most people lack confidence. It’s crazy but it’s true. They don’t feel good enough, don’t really believe in themselves, they’re not sure whether they’re capable of doing what they want to do. Confidence is a skill that can be learned, that can be trained, like a muscle in the gym. It doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a process, and it’s an ongoing process.

Let’s say people start to work on their confidence but they quickly get discouraged… because they’re not where they want to be yet. They may not be satisfied with their job, finances, relationships, weight, social life, you name it, so their confidence drops. They keep asking:

How can I feel confident if I lost it?

How can I feel confident if I’m not qualified, knowledgeable or experienced enough?

How can I feel confident when I haven’t achieved my goals yet and I feel like a loser?

In this episode I share with you 5 ways on how to feel confident EVEN if you’re not where you want to be YET.

Here are some of the highlights of this episode:

  • confidence is like a muscle and it can be trained
  • confidence is a journey not a destination
  • how to train your thoughts, so they serve you
  • #1 focus on the present moment, find the peace and confidence now
  • #2 understanding your emotions and your thoughts
  • #3 focus on your progress, stop comparing yourself with others
  • #4 retrain your mindset to expect everything will work out just fine
  • #5 destroy negative thoughts before they become monsters

#19: HOW TO SAY NO WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY

Welcome to 19th episode of Confidence Rockstar Podcast.

We all want to be good people, want others to accept us and like us. When growing up we heard that in order to be a good person, we need to say yes to requests and expectations of others. When they ask you to do something, you should or you must agree.

It’s all great, but when meeting the expectations of others, we find it difficult to focus on our own needs, then there’s a problem. We have no time to do what’s important to us, what matters to us and we become resentful towards others.

We want to say NO but how can we do so?

We may hurt or dissappoint others, right?

They may not like us any more, right?

They may say we’re selfish, right?

In this episode, I share with you 10 ways on how to say NO without feeling guilty, so you can take your power back and live your own life.

Here are some of the highlights of this episode:

  • why we are programmed to say yes even if we don’t want to
  • why is it so fiificult to say no without feeling remorse
  • 10 ways on how to say now without feeling guilty
  • #1 can you be a good person and still say no?
  • #2 saying no to something means saying yes to something else
  • #3 saying no doesn’t mean that the world will fall apart
  • #4 love yourself enough to set boundaries
  • #5 ask for time
  • #6 have a policy
  • #7 have a counteroffer
  • #8 it’s impossible to please everyone
  • #9 no is a complete sentence
  • #10 stop apologising
